My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic

[Edit Page]

My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic is an animated series based on Hasbro's popular My Little Pony franchise. The show premiered on October 10, 2010 on Hasbro's The Hub channel, now known as Discovery Family. It was developed for television by Lauren Faust, who is known for her work on two of Cartoon Network's popular and critically-acclaimed franchises, namely The Powerpuff Girls and Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends.

Twilight Sparkle may be the smartest unicorn in Equestria, but there's more to life than learning magic. So Princess Celestia sends her to Ponyville on a mission to make friends. There, she meets Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, Applejack, Rarity, and Fluttershy. In all their exciting adventures together, the ponies learn important lessons about friendship, as they discover that friendship is the most powerful magic of all.

The show has become a major commercial success, becoming the most highly rated original production in the Hub Network's broadcast history and has been critically praised for its humor and moral outlook. This is the fourth generation (G4) of the My Little Pony franchise, following earlier lines and television show tie-ins in the 1980s and 1990s.

  1. Ah! This is sweet. My niece is going to like this movie a lot. Her birthday is around the corner and I can add this movie to the watch list along with the Andy Yeatman shows. The kids are going to stay for the night and I have planned everything nicely.
